Pre-Launch

This week, the iRedux Project will open to the public. Developed by Oliver Farshi, a sound artist based in Helsinki, Finland, iRedux will explore notions of ownership and intangible property.
The iRedux software destroys any music file, strips it of copyright and generates a piece of original ambient music. With the previous copyright wiped, the new file is free for you to share.
The first iRedux release will be a mini-album generated by iRedux, created in collaboration with Geraldine Juárez of F.A.T. Labs.
“The mini-album is a celebration of at F.A.T.Labs - fusing Web 2.0 with a celebrizzation of hyper-aspirational rap demi-god, Kanye West, affectionately known by his adoring global fan-base as Yeezy.”
Entitled Minimal Bling, the album will be available to download this week, directly and via torrent.
